Binding and Exterior
Bound in the publisher's blue cloth with attractive gilt lettering and decoration to the front board and spine.
The original illustrated dust jacket is present and has been price clipped at the upper corner of the front flap. It remains complete with light general wear, including foxing, rubbing (principally around the edges) and several small edge tears. The cloth boards beneath remain particularly well preserved with only light handling marks.
Overall, the book has excellent shelf appeal.
 
Interior Condition
A bright and pleasing interior.
The paper is only lightly toned with age. Light foxing is present to the opening and closing leaves, while the remaining pages are predominantly clean and fresh. The pages are uncreased throughout with only the occasional tiny mark.
All seven gravure plates are present together with the numerous in-text illustrations.
There are no ownership inscriptions.
The binding remains firm and secure with all pages present.
