Binding & Exterior
Bound in the original green cloth with attractive dark decorative borders and lettering to the front board together with the title to the spine and the publisher's device to the rear board.
The binding remains robust and attractive with light age-related wear including softly bumped corners, gentle rubbing to the extremities, light surface marking and a very slight lean. Overall, it presents well and retains excellent shelf appeal.
 
Interior Condition
The pages are lightly toned with occasional foxing, principally to the page edges and half-title. The text remains predominantly clean and uncreased.
The folding colour map is fully present and intact with only light edge creasing and two extremely small marginal edge tears which do not affect the printed map.
All pages remain secure. There are a few extremely light gutter openings typical of a carefully used Edwardian volume but no structural concerns.
There are no ownership inscriptions.
Completeness has been checked throughout, including all maps, plans, photographic plates and the extensive advertising section.
